Registration Entitlements


  • Attendance at all sessions during the Conference
  • Daily catering including lunches, morning  and afternoon tea (not including Thursday lunch and afternoon tea) and refreshments at two Poster Sessions
  • Ticket to the Sunday welcome reception
  • Ticket to the Conference dinner

If you are enrolled in an undergraduate (BSc) or graduate program (MSc, PhD) you are eligible for the student rate. You will be required to provide a letter from your Institution to prove you are a student and also present your student photo ID card at the Registration desk.

Day Registration

  • Attendance at all Conference sessions on the day selected
  • Day registration includes morning tea, afternoon tea, lunch and poster refreshment on day of attendance (only)

Accompanying Person Registration

  • Ticket to the Sunday welcome reception
  • Ticket to the Conference dinner

Cancellation Policy

If a registrant is unable to attend an event, for any reason, they may substitute, by arrangement in writing with the Conference Administrator, someone else from the same institute/organisation.

Where the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in any position to transfer their place to another person, then the following refund arrangements apply:

  • Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees;
  • Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees;
  • Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.

Notification must be received by us in writing (email). Refunds will be made in the following way: for payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded, not including any merchant fees paid.


The tour of the Centre for Accelerator Science at ANSTO will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 10th September following the morning program.

Please note that we are restricted to a maximum of 150 participants.

Those wishing to attend must register for the tour during the on-line registration process and provide all the requested details in order to be allowed on-site at ANSTO. All foreign nationals must supply details of their passport during registration or before the cutoff date of July 31st, 2020. Please note, a passport or Australian photo ID card must be brought with you for the ANSTO tour. These details will be provided to ANSTO Security. Further details for the tour will be provided at a later date. For those not attending the tour, it will be a free afternoon to explore Sydney.

The cost for the ANSTO tour covers:

  • Bus tickets
  • Boxed lunch and water bottle
  • Light refreshments and nibbles during the tour

The Conference Dinner

The Conference dinner, held on the evening of Wednesday 9th September, will be a stand-up cocktail party with a wide variety of finger foods and drinks. It will be held in the Water Room of Pier One, Walsh Bay, 11 Hickson Rd, an exciting venue boasting panoramic and spectacular views over Sydney Harbour from an expansive wrap-around glass wall and open balcony only 100 metres from the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. The venue is an easy 15 minute walk from Circular Quay which can be reached by light rail from the John Niland Scientia at the UNSW Campus. For the young at heart a dance floor is available. For those more inclined to observe, we will provide bar tables, stools and chairs.

Method of Payment

Payment of registration fees must accompany all on-line registrations. No registration will be confirmed until payment is received. Payment is made through Register Now (a Third Party Secure web site) and is transacted only via credit card or PayPal. An invoice is generated once registration is completed and paid in full.

If you are making a credit card payment from a country outside Australia, for security reasons it may be advisable to contact your banking institution of the impending charge and authorise them to allow the charge to Australia to go through. Please note that charges to your credit card will appear as being from “AMS15” on your bank statement.

Registration Desk Opening Times

The registration and information desk will be open from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday 6th and from 8am to 5pm for the duration of the Conference (Monday 7th to Friday 11th September, 2020), and it will serve as your main point of contact for all enquiries. It is located in the ground floor foyer, John Niland Scientia Building.

Name Badges

Admission to the conference sessions in John Niland Scientia will require identification by your badge. Please be sure to wear your name badge at all times. If you lose your name badge please visit the Registration Desk. Those with badges stating that they are Accompanying Guests will not be allowed access to the scientific sessions. Conference staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone not wearing their official meeting identification.

An email verification will be sent to you once your registration is successfully received. You can indicate on the registration form if you do not wish to have your details included on the participant list.
